Commissioning a Portrait

Thank you for considering our services! When you reach out to us, please be prepared to answer a few key questions to help us understand your needs better. Would you prefer a drawing or oil painting? How many subjects would you like in the portrait? Is the occasion formal or informal? Additionally, please let us know your budget, time frame, availability for a photoshoot, and if you would desire the artwork framed. We look forward to creating something special for you!

We would like to arrange a time to capture reference photos. This opportunity allows us to meet the subject and understand their personality, whether for a drawing or painting. We'll work together find a convenient time and location, allocating about 90 minutes for the session, although this may vary depending on the subjects and wardrobe changes. Please note that if the photoshoot is beyond a certain distance from Anacoco, Louisiana, travel expenses will be added to the total cost of the artwork. A 50% non-refundable deposit will be required during our initial meeting, usually conducted at the photoshoot, to start the process.

After the photo shoot, we'll edit and curate a selection of images for you to choose from. Once you've made your selection, we'll start the painting or drawing process. This can take anywhere from a few weeks to up to a year, depending on factors such as complexity, subjects, size, and materials. We aim to work efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Once your painting is completed, we will email you a photograph of artwork for your approval. If you choose to have it framed, we will promptly send it to our framing department for the finishing touches. Your artwork will then be ready for shipping or hand delivery. We also offer in-person delivery by the artist for a special unveiling experience.
