The First Communication
When reaching out, please consider the individual you'd like captured and whether you prefer a formal or casual setting. Think about special items that could add a personal touch, like your child's favorite stuffed bear or grandmother's pearls for a daughter. For the best results, solid colors or simple patterns are recommended for wardrobe choices. Additionally, discussing your budget upfront will help us tailor a package that meets your needs. The Photo Shoot
Whether you choose the comfort of your home, the beauty of a public park, each shoot is tailored to your desires. Sessions typically last 2-3 hours, allowing for an optional wardrobe change to ensure you look your best. While we prefer using our own photos as references, we understand this isn't always possible and are happy to provide guidelines for any references you may share.
Photo Session Review
After your photo session, you can expect to receive an email with a carefully curated collection of 4-5 perfectly posed photos within 2 to 4 weeks. I will take the time to discuss various options for your portrait images, ensuring we select the perfect one that captures the essence of your session for the artwork. Your satisfaction is my priority, and I’m excited to help you choose an image that you’ll cherish for years to come.
Drawing Proof
A finished pencil drawing is rendered as a proof (for oil paintings only). The client will have time examine the drawing and discuss if any adjustments need to be made. Once the client approves the drawing I am ready to begin work on the final oil painting
The Final Painting
The painting process typically takes a few weeks to several months, depending on the size and complexity of the artwork. Once the portrait is complete, I will schedule a final review with you to ensure everything meets your expectations. After your approval, the artwork will be ready for shipping or in person delivery.
Payment
Payment is expected as follows: half of the total fees are due upon placing the order, with the remaining balance required in full before the painting is delivered or shipped. Please note that once any payments or deposits are made, no refunds will be issued, without exceptions. Thank you for your understanding.
